Memory

Sometimes I wonder whether human beings can have deletion of memory, just like the computer and choose to delete and forget things I don’t wish to keep anymore. I hate it when some memories just keep haunting me.

However today it dawned on me how scary it is to lose one's memory. During clinical neuro, we watched a case video of an elderly woman who had vascular dementia, patchy memory loss. One moment, she can remember things very well (like to recall the months in a year), but the next she cant even answer the same qn, or recall the current month and year..
She said she was ashamed by it and i can imagine, esp when she get asked simple qn that even a kid could answer.

Haiz getting old is scary.. So is losing one's memory..
