Lau Pa Sa sux, Goodwood rox

For many years, Lau Pa Sa has been a must-go place when friends and relatives from overseas come. This despite the fact that the price is alittle more costly than usual, as the architecture is quite unique and there is a wide variety of local delights. However, a visit there last week left me and my family utterly disappointed. The exterior is very much the same, with the smoky street of satay stores, they even have blasting music from some singers and a band. However the food was a shame. The sting ray was too dry (the driest i have tasted so far). The satay was made of sweet minced meat ( and not slices of meat), and the sugarcane juice was so diluted that i barely tasted any of it (to think that it costs $1.70 per cup!). It was supposed to be food festival there but to me the food sucks, what a shame to present this to tourists and visitors..

On the other hand, i finally tried the long-heard about durian desserts from goodwood. Oh i love the puffs and crepe! Esp when the crepe is freshly made, the combination of hot crepe and cold durian fillings is indescribable. Yummy! I have lost count of how many of those i ate =P

Hmm eaten quite alot of stuff last week, definitely put on some weight =(
