Have been doing some reading the past week. Have been on this series by stephenie meyer that sis have highly recommended/tempted.. Initially, i was quite skeptical as it is vampire stuff, and seems teenage fiction, not to mention found in the 'children section' of the bookstore, but then i thought no harm seeing what got my little sis so captivated.. As i was reading the first book, i sorta understood why sis and so many teens out there are all crazy over it. It is not the typical vampire that we are used to, coming out only at night to bite gals, and are scared of garlic and cross. Instead, the vampires in the book live just like any human being. Some of them are even 'vegetarians', meaning that they do not feed on human blood. It is more like teenage romance, easily transporting us to schooling days with crushes and stolen glances.. I guess it also brings out a lot of fantasies that human have, such as our wish that we could read others' thoughts, and be able to see whats going to happen in the future.. It definitely stretches our imagination, and gives a new light to these 'bloodsuckers'. And the movie is coming out soon! although i heard that it seems quite low budget and not as good as the book..
